By *bus or taxi from KLIA or KLIA2 to Melaka Sentral.
*Only Transnasional, a government-linked company (GLC) has the monopoly of plying bus services to Melaka Sentral. Buses do not leave every hour from KLIA or KLIA2.

By bus from the Bandar Tasik Selatan Bus Terminal (off Kuala Lumpur) to Melaka Sentral
From other parts of Peninsular Malaysia, there are direct buses to Malacca from the bus stations listed below:
- Larkin Bus Terminal, Johor approx. 3 hours journey
- Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal, Penang (island) approx. 10-11 hours journey during the day / 6-8 hours journey during the night and wee hours in the morning

By car from other parts of Malaysia (if you have a good friend, fiancee or hubby who can drive long distance) to Simpang Ampat or Ayer Keroh toll gate
- To navigate around Malacca, use a smartphone app called Waze. Check Waze's map against your tourist accommodation's map to ensure that you have selected the right location on Waze.
- Do remember to purchase the Malacca parking coupon unless you are leaving your car at the hotel's carpark or private carparks which costs from RM1-RM5.
